All we want...

Feline Friday is hosted by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.
Feline Friday is simple to join. All you have to do is..

1) post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (They may be silly or cute)

2) go to Steve's page, linked above, then on the menu bar click on the Feline Friday tab to get the code
3) paste the code under your cat picture
4) add your name and link

That’s all there is to it! Be sure to check back every so often and visit all the Feline Friday bloggers. Also, please leave a nice comment on their blogs. Nasty comments will be deleted!

All we want for Christmas is a furrever home!

************************************************************

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by McGuffy Ann Morris of McGuffy's Reader. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

My fill-ins for the statements are underlined:

Week 33: December 23, 2016

1. I still need to _____________________ before Christmas.

2. My favorite episode of Seinfeld is ___________________.

3. What I really would like for Christmas is ______________________.

4.  My favourite part of Christmastime is ______________________.

1. I still need to buy the ingredients for stuffing and pies before Christmas.

2. My favorite episode of Seinfeld is none, i've never seen the show, except short clips.

3. What i really would like for Christmas is true and honest peace, where everyone chooses to get along with everyone else.  You don't have to like them or spend time with them, but to at least have everyone treat every other person the way they want to be treated.

4. My favorite part of Christmastime is the Christmas Eve service, and i have to miss it this year.  Grandma needs help, and she's worth missing the Christmas Eve service for.

  9. Love the kitties, always love the kitties.

Have an absolutely wonderful Christmas! (And just a warning--my post today is political and possibly quite offensive, couldn't help it, these are strange times. But you are someone I admire greatly and I have no idea where you stand and I do not want to upset you. Might be a good one to miss today).

Much love and joy and peace,

  12. Back in South Carolina, we used to love to go to the Christmas Eve service. We would sing and just before midnight, we would all light a candle and sing as the organ chimed midnight. It was great. Have a Merry Christmas.

  13. I hope that your grandma is okay. What a blessing to be able to help her. I agree. Grandmas are worth it. :)

"Roots Day -- as you gather with family during the season, don't forget to sit with elder relatives and learn about your family's past"

This sounds like a great idea to me. My grandparents had lots of stories to tell and I would listen to them, though not as attentively as I should have. I can't remember most of their stories anymore. I should have written them down way back then.

I always enjoy these "Today is..." sections of your post. History has always been one of my most favorite subjects. I think it is great that you put all of this here for us. Thank you!

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you and your family!
