Here Comes the Bride

The Big Boss, the one Sweetie used to work for, is getting married today.

For many years he said he'd never marry again.  During all of that time, he continued to date, off and on, one particular, special lady.

Why it took him this long i do not know, but i guess it's better late than never.

Maybe losing his house in the flooding and ending up staying with her is what finally convinced him.

Maybe the fact that she's stood by him during some troubled times, and helped him tremendously when he's needed surgeries during the past year, did the trick.

Whatever it was, they are getting married at the church across the highway from here this afternoon, and i hope at least one of the old outfits i have in the closet still fits.  It's been a long time since i've needed to dress up.

  2. Hopefully, you'll find something to wear. I can't recall the last time I dressed up. I wonder if I remember how to tie a tie.

  4. Oh how wonderful. I can see how a couple would finally marry after some serious situations and finally find that each other love one another especially after during troubled times. That's true love. Congratulations to the loving couples. See ya.

  5. Many of us said we would never marry again, only to discover that God had better plans for us! I am so thankful I opened my heart to His possibilities, and I wish The Boss a marriage that is happy ever after. It sounds like they already know how to weather the storms of life together!

  7. Oh that's a lovely love story! Sometimes it takes trials to bring you together I guess.
I don't know what on earth I would wear if I had to dress up!!! That's the only problem with losing weight -- all my old dress clothes no longer fit and are long gone from the closet (which, yay!) but I cannot afford to replace them all just yet either! I could not even find a pair of dress pants the other night.
