Silly Sunday: It's Clear to Me Now, Too

Silly Sunday is hosted by Sandee, of Comedy Plus.
Silly Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs.  The rules are simple, just have fun.
This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process.

Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!
  1. Post a joke.
  2. Link Up with the URL to your joke in the Linky Tools Widget.
  3. Read my joke.
  4. Leave a comment to tell me how much you enjoyed my joke.
  5. Try and visit a few others participating in Silly Sunday.
  6. Go to Sandee's site, linked above, and get the Silly Sunday code for your blog, too!

Yesterday morning's newspaper had a big front page article about someone hired by the local mayor's office who resigned because he wasn't all he claimed to be.  He'd been hired in part because he was supposed to have a degree from a prestigious university, and of course the press decided to confirm that fact.  He was actually a few hours short of receiving the degree.  His response was that those few hours shouldn't matter, he'd done the work and it was close enough.

Boudreaux an' Clothile was listenin' to a political candidate on TV, an' hear de man say, "If I am elected, I promise transparency in office!"

An' Boudreaux turn to Clothile an' say, "Mais, I can see right through that promise!"

  1. Ha! Ha! Ha! to St. George's maid...or the maid he's supposed to have saved.
Emperor's clothes are so painfully visible in almost all places of politics. Transparency needs a new definition, I think:)
Like the sound of women buying books for men in Spain:)
