A Feline Friday Canine Photobomb and Friendly Fill-ins

Feline Friday was started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.
He has handed hosting duties off to Sandee, of Comedy Plus, and it's simple to join, just follow the link to Sandee's page for the code.

The photo i was trying to get.

First attempt, with a Pepe photobomb.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by McGuffy Ann Morris of McGuffy's Reader. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

My fill-ins for the statements are underlined:

Week 66: August 11, 2017

1. Blind dates ________________________.

2. _____________ years ago, I ______________________.

3. I admire                         because                             .

4.                         makes me think                              .

1. Blind dates don't seem to me to be such a good idea.  Most of the time, i think, the person doing the setting up is setting you up with the person s/he thinks you should be with, not necessarily with someone you would actually want to be with.

2. Thirty-five years ago, i took in my first kittens that needed bottle feeding.  To say it's been a roller coaster since then would be an understatement.  It's also been worth it.

3. I admire everyone who has a true heart for public service because it means they are putting the good of the whole ahead of looking out for themselves only.

4. Watching parents dealing with small children makes me think that as much as i love babies and small ones, i'm so very glad mine are grown now.

  3. The cat is trying to get all the cool from the floor it can too. Too cute. Love the photobomb though. It's the way of things.

I too am glad I'm not raising kids anymore.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and an even better weekend. ☺

  4. Oh my gosh...I love that photo! The photo bomb is cute, too.
I agree with you about blind dates, so was never a fan. I just felt it was better if nature took its course.
I have been doing rescue for forty years, though I did it as a kid unofficially. I bet you did, too. As I age, the kitten rescue works out best. Chloe Jo would be stressed by adult fosters. She loves the babies. We had a similar thought for #3. Mother Teresa epitomized service for me. Mimi, you will make a wonderful grammy, when the time comes. HUGS, my friend.

  9. Very cute kitty, I love the back legs flopped out :) Thanks you for these great fill-in answers. As you will see on mine, I admire those like you that foster kittens and cats. I think people should have kids while they are still young enough to chase them around, I can't figure out why anyone would want to become a mom in their 40's. Have a nice weekend!

  10. We see so many young parents dealing with young kids these days. We notice that there isn't the concern for the kids' well-being that there used to be. We often see kids who can barely walk all by themselves in stores.

  11. What a beautiful, fluffy, black and white kitty. :)

I can't imagine having little ones at this stage of my life, either. Obviously, if Heavenly Father saw fit for a miracle and gave them to me, I'd love them to pieces. But, I just don't have the endurance for all that it entails at this point in my life. I'm almost 52 years old, time to sit and watch birdies, not chase babies. :)

I think you just solved a mystery for me with this, Mimi:

"Elvis Week -- Memphis, TN, US"

For the last several days, almost non-stop, my earworm has been "Blue Christmas". Elvis died 2 days before my 12th birthday. I was very sad about it. My daddy went out and bought me all the Elvis albums that he could afford for my birthday.

"Ma and Pa Kettle Days"...I always enjoy watching Ma and Pa Kettle movies. They were great!

Thanks for another great post. Have a blessed weekend. :)
