After Their Morning Nip (Feline Friday) and Friendly Fill-Ins

Feline Friday was started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.
He has handed hosting duties off to Sandee, of Comedy Plus, and it's simple to join, just follow the link to Sandee's page for the rules and the code.

Dansig and Link after their morning catnip:

Oh, man I think you wanna fight!

You think I wanna fight?  C'mon then!

Take that!  No, you take that!

Ow!  Oof!  Enough!

We okay now, Dude?  Yeah, we're good.

McGuffy's Reader

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by McGuffy Ann Morris of McGuffy's Reader. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

My fill-ins for the statements are underlined:

Week 81: November 24, 2017:

1. I start to decorate for Christmas/Hanukkah                                 .

2. I prefer a ________ Christmas tree because                              .

3. The best thing about the holidays is                                              .

4. The worst thing about the holidays is                                             .

1. I start to decorate for Christmas/Hanukkah whenever the mood strikes after US Thanksgiving Day.  My feelings on the matter are summed up rather well here:

2. I prefer a bookcase Christmas tree because it is shaped like a pirogue, painted green, and gives us a place to show off Christmas cards and ornaments that the cats cannot knock over.

3. The best things about the holidays is love, especially love of family and friends.

4. The worst things about the holidays is the traffic.  Even though i'm a teetotaler, i promise if anything could turn me into a drinking woman, it would be the traffic.

  2. Ha! Sometimes you just have to have a kerfuffle to get it out of your system.
Your #4 made me laugh. I do not know how Bill drives a truck every day, for hours, in all kinds of weather, terrain, and traffic! *augh* I could not do it. HUGS, my friend!

  3. Amusing to look at the cat fighting photos, you can somehow tell it's only play even from still pictures. I wonder why that is!

  4. Awww on the kitties. Such bravado.

I hear you about the traffic and the holidays. It's bad enough the rest of the year, but between Thanksgiving and Christmas the traffic is horrible.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday. ♥

  7. Catnip makes our cats get mellow, but it's a very rare treat at our house. Hope your Thanksgiving was a good one for all.

  8. Such cute kitties. Linx and my Brody could be twins :) Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I guess I am lucky my cats leave our 6 foot artificial tree alone. I am glad there isn't a lot of traffic near me or I would start drinking too ( but not while driving). Have a nice weekend! XO

  9. Around here drinking and driving is the norm, not the exception. On the written part of the driver's license test, there are many questions about how long you will lose your license for each drunk driving offense. There does not seem to be any jail time for drunk driving. Just loss of license temporarily and hefty fines. Most people around here don't care. They drive drunk anyway.

I don't drive. We try to stay home as much as possible. When Amazon gets food delivery worked out better price-wise, we may never leave the house again except for doctor's visits. Have a Merry Christmas.

  10. Oh, I know it! The driving around here, especially in Houston, is enough to make anyone down a gallon of the finest Smirnoff Vodka available! Those folks appear to have never gotten near a driver's handbook or teacher of any sort!

We are observing the Buy Nothing Day, too. We (Laynie and I) only left the house to go into the yard and walk the dog. The neighbors have their Christmas lights up now so we oohed and ahhed over those, too. David has been inside all day.

Thanks for the history tidbits. I enjoy those very much.

    Have a blessed weekend. :)
