Supplemental (Silly Sunday)

Silly Sunday is hosted by Sandee, of Comedy Plus.

Silly Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs.  The rules are simple, just have fun.

This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process.

Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!

Sweetie and i are both blessed in that we do not take a lot of medications for people who have reached our age and stage of life.

We do take some supplements, with Sweetie insisting on taking many more than i do.  He is always running out, and realizing it at the last moment, and so running to the store to replenish one or another.

Every time Brother-in-Law, The Mouth, who has a lot of time on his hands to spend researching the latest, greatest supplement, comes out with another recommendation, they both jump right on the bandwagon.

Thanks, but i will stick to vitamin D, calcium, and a multivitamin with probiotics.

Boudreaux done hear 'bout dat stuff dey call ginkgo biloba, an' dat it suppose to be good for de memory.  Since he be gettin' to de age where he forget stuff more, he done bought some to try.

A couple weeks later he done take it back to de store 'cause dey say if you not satisfied, dey give you de money back.  As he getting his refund, de clerk ax, "Why you be returnin' dis?"

An' Boudreaux say, "It be for improvin' de memory, but it don' work."

De clerk ax, "How you know it don' work?"

An' Boudreaux say, "Mais, I keep forgettin' to take it!"

  6. Mimi,

We're blessed with good health, too. We also take daily supplements. While I think many are good for you because you just can't get everything you need from food, there are others I wonder about if they actually do anything. Of course, good ole Boudreaux didn't stand a fighting chance. Maybe if he'd tied a ribbon to his finger as a reminder that would've helped. :D
