Hard Worker (Awww Monday), Thought Provoking Quote of the Week, and Poetry Monday

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

***********************************

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee, of Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

Yesterday was the Mystic Krewe of Mutts Parade, and Pastor J was out there to bless the animals as they passed by.  Riley the therapy dog was with him, and all that blessing wore her out!

Sparks, the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, is on hiatus, so here's a Thought Provoking Quote of the Week in her honor.

Delores and her friend Jenny are taking turns providing a theme for Poetry Monday, and i am trying my hand at participating.  This weeks theme is Winter Windows.

Winter windows covered with ice
we actually had them last year, twice!

From the space heater, water does condense
on the bathroom window, and from thence

It freezes solid in the night
on the inside, blocking light

Our houses are built to stay cooler in summer
so winter freezes are really a bummer!

  2. What a good poem. I would like to join in on Poetry Monday, but versification in a foreign language is mostly beyond my skills. I must content myself with reading your brilliant poems.

  12. Seeing about cleaning out cubby holes made me realise I don't have any cubby holes. In fact, now I think of it, I am not entirely sure what they are. Maybe it is an American expression, although my dad did use it.
