A Reason to Quibble Over Pennies (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Yesterday, i got Brother-in-Law, The Mouth’s taxes done.  (Do not ask me about my own taxes; after a rocky start, my forms and i are no longer on speaking terms.)

Boudreaux done be pullin’ hims hair an’ mutterin’ while he done tryin’ to do de tax.  Clothile done ax, “If’n it be so hard to do de tax, why we don’ pay someone?  Dere be some people dat like it an’ can do it.”

An’ Boudreaux say, “It don’ be so hard, we don’ be rich, it jes’ be dat dere be two kind of people dat don’ like to do de taxes, hommes et femmes [men and women].”

“If’n it not be so hard, what fo’ you be workin’ youse’f up like dat fo’?” she ax.

“I be lookin’ to see if I find any more tax deductins beside de usual.  Dere gots to be some way to deduct jes’ a couple more t’ings, save us a few more dollar.”

“If it only be a few dollar you be savin’ if you find you more deductins, why you bother?  It look like it be more trouble dan it be worth!”

“Mais, cher, we gots to pay de tax, but dat don’ mean we gots to skip a deductin’ an’ give dem a tip!”

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It is now hosted by River at Drifting Through Life.

Grandma is still at it in her workshop:

She has expanded to painting shoes:

And sometimes other clothing:

This side says,
When the girls are happy, I am happy.
How are things going?

This side says
Don't let me down, girls.
I am holding up.

Oh my the way, that was an excited method to wear a bra. After taking the girl's top off, it would scare the poor guy and he's gone. LOL See ya Mimi.

  12. Cute joke. Do you ever sleep? I am amazed with all your work and volunteering that you were able to do someone's taxes. I thought of Grandma when I was in Michael's, they had a lot of fairy garden items on clearance and the newer pieces were on sale too.
