Anticipation (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Sweetie and i disagree about whether it is better to use a text or a phone call for certain things.

He texts only when he has to, whereas i call only when a short text won’t get the job done.

He loves to have a nice, long, rambling conversation, beating around the bush for a while before he gets to the point.

Most of the time, i am at work or trying to get something scheduled, and a long, rambling phone call with someone is the last thing on my mind (i reserve the rambling conversations for when we can get together over a cup of coffee).

Tee done be sendin’ a text to hims petite amie [girlfriend] when Boudreaux come in.  Seein’ dat Tee be textin’ agin, he ax, “Fils [Son], what fo’ you be textin’ dat fille [girl] when you can be callin’ her wit’ dat same phone?  Don’ you want talk to her?”

An’ Tee say, “Père, I done talk to her at de school, now I done be textin’ so’s we can done make de conversation last a bit.  Mais, ain’t you done heard dat when you be waitin’ to hear back from the person you done text, you got ‘textpectations’!”

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It is now hosted by River at Drifting Through Life.

The blooms are blooming here, in spite of the fact that we had another light freeze last week.  It does not seem to have damaged much.

A few of the trees in Mr. BA’s garden are blooming that he thought had died in last year’s deep freezes.

He and Ms. GA went to the plant sale this past weekend, bringing home even more plants to tend.
