Gus (Awww Monday), Inspiring Quote of the Week, and Third Sunday (Poetry Monday)

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee, of Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

Pastor W has a service dog, Gus, who is very popular with the congregation and the staff:

Sparks, the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, is on hiatus, so here's an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Delores and her friend Jenny are taking turns providing a theme for Poetry Monday, and i am trying my hand at participating.  This weeks theme is Monkeys.

On each month's third Sunday
What do I see?
The four-year nursery class
Called the Monkeys!

They may not have tails
But their tales will never bore;
With them a fun adventure
Is always in store.

We have a lesson,
Play our games,
Eat our snacks
(No trace remains!).

There's never a dull moment,
Come visit you will see
On each month's third Sunday
There's no place I'd rather be!

  4. Mimi,

Gus is a handsome little guy. He reminds me of our neighbor (now passed on) who had a little doggie like this and she'd walk her every day. She was such a cutie named Dolly. She practically pulled her human behind her, occasionally barking at passing cars and people as she was a little fierce furball. I always laughed because the dogs she barked at were normally 100x her size and who could nearly swallow her whole but they just ignored her. Have you ever noticed big dogs don't do all that barking? That's reserved for the ankle biters. lol
