For 20 Years (Ten Things of Thankful)

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

***********************************

It's been a while since i did a cat shelter thankful post.

Now i've got some pictures, so it's time.

The first thankful is one for which i do not have a picture.  Young volunteers make me thankful.  We are not all old crazy cat ladies over here.  The young volunteers, however, move to fast for me to get unblurry photos, so i will spare you those.

Generosity.  People donate stuff the shelter can't use, so they let volunteers take it.

Clean cages.  We need those.

Naps.  When they are happy, cats nap.

Cats are still cats, even here, and we are thankful even when they tear up the paper towels acting like cats.

A brand of gloves that fit me! (Most brands, the medium fall off of me, but the smalls are too hard to get into.  This brand, the smalls actually fit!)

Plenty of litter, that's a big one.

A Sweetie who cleans kitchens!

We have some nice spa baskets donated for our upcoming auction.

Sometimes people donate something special that goes home with a specific cat.  When Russel gets adopted, this goes home with him..

Yippee!

Yes, we are up to over 14,000 adoptions now, and actually have over 100 just for this month alone so far.  As this organization celebrates its 20th year, it makes us all happy to see cats going to loving homes.

Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Kristi and her co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.

  11. Thank you, Mimi for sharing this. Animal Shelters often get taken for granted as does everyone who works and volunteers in one. It's a shame we need them but animal shelters are so important!
    How special for Russell! :)
