Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and has become a moveable feast of word or picture or music prompts that encourages us to write stories, poems, or whatever strikes our fancy.

This month, Delores is providing the prompts.  This may be the end of an era, as she has had so much trouble with a troll that she is planning to shut down her blog after she provides the prompts this month.  She will be missed.

This week's prompts are:

THE SEASON THAT SPEAKS TO YOUR HEART

and/or

SO MANY WAYS TO SAY 'I'M SORRY'

There are so many ways to say "I'm sorry,"
And I wanted to try a few,
But the season that speaks to your heart,
The time when it is open,
Is past and gone,
So are you,

Into a future where I cannot follow and have no place.

  3. I will never forget that day. I was in my class when the PA came out and the principal told us to pray for all of those who died in New York. I turned my TV in the classroom and saw the two buidings fall. Those two pictures were seared into my mind. Canada helped a great deal of people in those planes that were told to land. We will always be good friends Mimi.

  6. Mimi,

I will never forget what happened this day 18 years ago, the day the world stood still. I can't believe it's been that long, can you? There's no room for hate, a religion that teaches this is evil. My 2nd cousin's daughter was murdered at the Pentagon on 9/11. How tragic! God bless the families of those who lost loved ones that day and may God bless the USA!

  8. From as far away as Australia, I cried that whole day after hearing the news.
I don't have a single clue about what to write with this week's prompts.
