The Rule (Six Sentence Story), Comparison (Good Fences), Last Laugh (Sammy's Poetry Day), and Circle Meetings (Brian's Thankful Thursday)

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

"Greg, why do you have two blocks scheduled today?"

"I thought I was allowed to schedule two."

"You are, but I think you are trying too hard, doing too much, too fast."

"Charles, your problem with it is that you don't think I have a real chance to win, and you want me to stand down and let someone else have the time, someone you think has a better shot than me, but you are forgetting my cardinal rule."

"And that is?"

"Never, ever give up."

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Cardinal.

Gosia at Looking for Identity has taken over Good Fences, and it's now Good Fences Around The World.  Post a picture of a fence or gate, link back to her blog, and go visit other blogs to see what interesting fences there are out in this big world.

The other day, i saw two picket fences at two adjoining houses.  One is fairly recently painted, and the other we will generously say has character.

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day!  This week's image and my poem:

Make fun if you will,
It matters not to me,
Because at the end,
I'm the one who'll be
Fit and trim and also
Healthy as a horse
How I look getting there
Doesn't matter, of course!

Brian of Brian's Home hosts the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.   It's time to share something for which i am thankful.

This week i am thankful the ladies' circle meetings at church have started up again.  We break over the summer, and i miss it.  We are studying C.S. Lewis' Reflections on the Psalms.

  4. What a difference some fence maintenance can make! Great 6 sentences. You should never give up, and no matter how good or bad you are at what you are doing, you are entitled to the same amount of time as everyone else.

  11. Never give up is right. Go for it.

Love the poem and you're right about it too. It's the end result you're going for, not the ride getting there.

Glad you're back doing your Bible study. Do what you love is key.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, my friend. ♥
