Luck, Energy, and Medical Tests, a Random and Happy Tuesday

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Little Girl came in from work the other day and let out a sigh that came from her toes.  When i asked her what was up, she said that she'd forgotten to bring her debit card with her to work that day.

"It isn't so bad when that happens," she said.  "I just stay at the office and eat an MRE, and that's what most of us do most days anyway.  Today, though, they decided they wanted to eat out at the restaurant up the road from the base.  They asked if I wanted to come, and I said no, but I didn't tell them why because I didn't want one of them feeling like they'd have to pay for me and then I'd feel like I had to pay them back.  I just said I wanted to get some extra work done.

"So they went out, and when they got back, they said I should have been there because someone anonymously paid their whole tab!  The one time I forget my debit card so I can't go out to lunch with everyone, and someone else pays for it.  Just my luck!"

In medical news, i took the twins in for their glamor shots (i.e., had a mammogram).  It was normal.

The other day, i was asked what i do for a living, and i noted that i am a janitor.  The person then said, "You must have a lot of energy!"

My response?

Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

  3. Mimi,

I'm glad you got a good bill of health (better than bills in the mailbox) for the twins. :) Oh, man what a bummer LG missed getting a free lunch! That sounds like the kind of luck I'd have, too. It's amazing what you can do with the right motivation, ie janitorial work to pay bills. I often look back on those early years as a new mom and wonder how did I survive? I think God gives us what we need to keep going and so that's how you're able to do your job, dearie! My hat is off to you coz I know I couldn't do it...clean other people's homes. I barely can do my own. lol Okay, that's because I just don't wanna. :D Have a randomtastic day, my friend!

Yay on the good mammogram! We're bosom buddies - I had to have one prior to my surgery to make sure everything was good to go. ;)
