In the rounds of getting to Thankful Day, it often seems many things are repeats. It's okay, they are no less special to me -- a variety within a pattern, because it's never exactly the same.
Last Saturday, Grandpa informed me we had to wait for the cable people to come and bring him a new box to go shopping, and the expected arrival was between 9-11am. I was thankful the nice tech arrived just before 9 and we were able to get to the store early and back quickly.
Mr. Cal, Becca and i had time for an extra long walk last Sunday because there was only one church service and it started later than our usual start time. We were all thankful as we really do enjoy going to the pond and over the bridge.
Mr. Cal was thankful to meet up with his puppy friends, too, especially Ash. Ash's mama was in the hospital and we didn't meet them on walks for a long time, but she's back and Mr. Cal enjoys seeing his friend.
My client Ms. D is always thinking she's overworking me just by asking me to do a few things around her house. This week i was thankful after i greeted her, she left for a doctor appointment and i was able to do all the things, clean bathrooms and kitchen, sweep, vacuum and mop. She keeps things up pretty well so none of it was horribly dirty, but i did find way too many crumbs in the toaster for comfort, they're a fire hazard.
Ms. JAI didn't have company this time, so i was thankful to get to go see her and do the usual cleaning.
Our yearly appointment to have the generator serviced happened while i was taking care of my little Annie on Tuesday. The nice gentleman changed out the spark plugs, the oil, and the clamps on the battery which were corroding. We're thankful it is in good shape and ready for another summer.
I'm always thankful for some time with the baby.
Ms. GA texted me Wednesday morning, the morning she and Mr. BA were going to leave town, to let me know she wanted me to come by that morning after all because she hadn't fed the outdoor kitties. Talk about a monkey wrench in the works! I'm thankful i was able to get to their place between the shelter and Ms. G's.
I'm also thankful for some rain this week. The more often it rains, the less i have to water the plants at their house while also tending the cats.
Ms. G is having company soon and is on a tear about getting the house ready, i'm thankful we're making great headway.
Usually Ms. SE's house is quite the challenge. We're thankful this week it was the easiest it's ever been, which was especially nice considering the extra work before and after.
I was thankful Friday was my regular cleaning day for Ms. GA, it meant a much less rushed morning, and our prayer group that morning was only 2 of us. We're thankful for a lovely time of fellowship.
The cat shelter is busy-busy-busy and we're all thankful as kitten season is in full swing and they are busting out all over.
