Good Sense (Cajun Joke), Sunday Selections and Sunday Selfie

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Grandpa and i go to the store every other Saturday.  Yesterday, Grandma gave me her list and she asked for potato chips, Fritos, banana popsicles and fudgesicles.

Grandpa said, "We don't need that much junk food!"

Grandma responded with, "Who asked you?"

As Grandpa shook his head and turned away, she said, "Sometimes he doesn't have a sense of humor!"

While i can’t vouch for his sense of humor, i can say he has aqueous humor, vitreous humor, and some Good Humor ice cream bars of his own hidden in the small freezer section of the old refrigerator.

One day Clothile tole Boudreaux, "You know, I only done married you because o' you sense of humor."

An Boudreaux say, "Mais, I only married you because o' my sense o' humor, too!

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

I am scraping the bottom of the barrel and hope to have time for more and better photos this coming week.

Daughter-in-Law, with our little Annie in the seat on the back, heads out for an evening bike ride.

This week, Lulu wants to join the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for their Sunday Selfies Blog Hop.   https://thecatonmyhead.com

Okay, I posed, where's my treat!

Today is Hug Your Hound Day!  Ami Moore founded it as a way to increase awareness of human- and dog-friendly urban spaces, wanting the US to be more dog friendly, as Europe tends to be.  Go ahead and give your hound an extra hug today, and maybe take an outing to a dog friendly space near you.

Thanks to Barb Kowalik and The Cat Blogosphere for the event badge.

  1. Ha Ha Boudreaux. I've been wishing I had a few icecreams hidden away in my freezer too, but I keep not buying them. I like the red rose in the white vase and the suit of Armour.

  2. Happy Sunday Selfie to Lulu and all. A lovely selection, this week. I think the door wreath is particularly charming and cheerful given the season. Somehow the sunsets seem in harmony too. We hope they had a lovely cycle ride :)

  5. Lulu is looking good this morning. And so are all of your photos. If that's the bottom of the barrel I sure can't wait to see the top, lol. I used to have to keep Eskimo pies in the freezer and Three Musketeer miniature candy bars in the refrigerator for my father-in-law.

  16. I admire Daughter-in-law being able to have little Annie in a seat in back. I could never do this, and had my small ones in a bike trailer - that's heavy work.
I think it's a fine selection, and love those teapot paintings.
