Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays. Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.
Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you. What better way to start the week than with a smile!
Our little Annie loves sour/dill/spicy tastes. She makes such funny faces when eating a lemon/lime popsicle, the kind with no sugar, just grape juice, lemon juice, and lime juice. She makes these faces, then takes another bite!

Sparks is the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, who wanted us to post something positive and uplifting at the start of the week. While she no longer blogs, i like to post an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Our dear friend Diane is taking a break
accommodations we must make
we miss her poetry and wit
so carry on as Poetry Monday's a hit!
Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. Charlotte/Mother Owl and i are keeping it going while she takes a blog break, we hope temporarily. Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let us know!
This week the theme is Piece of Clothing.
my camouflage shirt
is so ugly i can't see
myself wearing it
*******
My sweater serves its purpose
but it's praises I can't sing,
it's so very critical,
it knit-picks everything!

Seeing little Annie always brings a smile to my face. What a cutie!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a love hate relationship with sour but it may be winning her over. Love the sparks, they describe how Gramma always was as she designed and made most of her clothes. She was a fashion student and then worked in fashion until she stayed home with the kids and sewed clothes all the time. Even now that she can't see enough to sew she orders fashionable things.
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that Annie is learning to eat more natural foods and all the sugar sweetened junk that's out there.
ReplyDeleteA part dels sabors, crec que és la frescor que fa que posi aquestes cares. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBons poemes.
Petonets, Mimi!
love the piece of clothing and still smiling. I wonder if the woman in the red dress can sit down in that thing. Annie's face is priceless... I do love sour things and did not know they have popcyles in that flavor, and I don't eat sugar, which means I could make faces with Annies
ReplyDeleteHello Mimi! This is CAAC. Thanks for stopping by today and letting me know the "like" button is gone. Apparently this is a feature that doesn't come with any of the themes that I looked at and since I'm really weary of plugins right now, I am not going to overload my site until I have a good handle on things. Just drop an emoji in comments next time to let me know you stopped in. ;)
ReplyDeleteChildren make the funniest but cutest faces. You'd think by their expressions they don't like something but then they keep coming back for more. The reaction doesn't go with their action at all! lol
I loved your clothing verses! You're so witty, girl!! Have a boogietastic week. xo
Today feels like a good day to celebrate popcorn. It's funny how little ones react to dill/sour flavors. I must say, I'm not a huge fan of dill/sour tastes. I prefer a bread and butter pickle on my burger, over a straight up dill but sweet pickles are the best.
ReplyDeleteShe's such a cutie pie. They bring such joy.
ReplyDeleteLove your Sparks and love your take on clothes.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs, my friend. ♥
Clothes maketh the man. How about the woman?
ReplyDeleteGod bless.

thecontemplativecat here. Sweet little Annie! Eating a popsicle is so precious.
ReplyDeleteAdorable shots of Annie. I see you got her to wear some clothes. :) Fun poems. XO
ReplyDeleteLittle Annie, such a cutie. Those are good Sparks and fun poems too!
ReplyDeleteMan, there were some birthdays as I went through them that surprised me. I had no idea Lester Flatt was born that long ago. There were some others too that took me by surprise. In the last picture of Annie and the popsicle, she did not look too enthused. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe face could also be because the popsicle is cold. It's good that Annie like the pickle and spicy flavours and doesn't demand everything be sweet.
ReplyDeleteExcellent motor trade jokes
ReplyDeleteFrom Annie's expressions to your poems - a delight!
ReplyDeleteAwww such cute pics of Annie!
ReplyDeleteLulu: "Our Dada's Mama likes to drink tonic water so the last time they came to visit he bought her a couple of bottles. There was still an unopened bottle left and eventually Dada decided he would try a sip of it and find out what it was like. The face he made looked JUST LIKE THAT, except he didn't go back for another sip afterwards."
