All In the Timing (Cajun Joke), Sunday Selections and Sunday Selfie

 ***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit

Grandma has decided she wants the friend helping with her plants to make a nice rock garden of them.  It’s going to take a while, but it’s underway.

Thibodeaux an’ Marie done decide dey’s goin’ do dem de renovation on de house dey allus done want.  But Thibodeaux done be tellin’ Boudreaux he don’ be lookin’ forrad to de t’ree months it be goin’ take to git it all done.

An’ Boudreaux done say, “Don’ be worry ‘bout no t’ree month renovatin’!  Dat six month goin’ to be de bes’ year o’ you life!

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  Our friend River is hosting, and other participants often include Charlotte/Mother OwlAndrew, and WiseWebWoman.

Oak tree roots.

A neighbor's garden.

I always get a kick out of seeing old cars on the road, back when they built them right.

I have no clue what this door decor means, if anything, or what exactly it is, but it's beautiful.

Ms. G'd wind chime.

One way to add color, put in a plastic flower.

Old water meter covers in our neighborhood.  They weren't so fancy in later years, and now they are putting a piece of plastic with a small metal door in the center, flimsy and likely to be cracked if run over with a riding lawn mower.

Happy 43rd Birthday Daddy!

I can't remember if i showed these last two before, but i sure meant to.

This week, Mr. and Mrs. Goose want to join the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for their Sunday Selfies Blog Hop, from what they consider a safe distance.

***********************************

It’s Pet Parent's Day, honoring those who consider pets a part of the family.

Thanks to Barb Kowalik and The Cat Blogosphere for the event badge.

  1. How nice, whatever it means it is lovely to see the decorations others have created, assuming they are tasteful that is!
Those last two we can not recall, but they are very nice.
Sadly, the quality of items has lessened and the price likely trebled.
    Have a wonderful week

  2. I LOVE the ship made from pieces of horn. The door decoration is different, never seen something that resembles giant purple buttons.

  3. I always enjoy the photos and I really don't know which one I like the best today. I tried having a rock garden decades ago. Wasn't very dedicated to it I guess and I didn't find the right kind of plants. Hope the one there gets along as should be. Happy Sunday
