Impossible = I’m Possible (Cajun Joke), Sunday Selections, and Sunday Selfie

***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Grandma is back to being able to walk down the hall a bit, but it's getting harder and harder and she really doesn't want to do it.  I've offered to change the bed for her "hospital style" (with the person still in the bed, it can be done) when she says, "I don't want to get up!"  She refuses each time i offer, and gets up anyway, but i'm not sure how much longer she'll be able to do it.

Clothile done be tellin' Grand-mère Boudreaux, "I knows me how to change de bedsheet wit'out you havin' get out de bed if'n you need me to, since I knows you's feeling bad."

Boudreaux done overhear an' say, "Change de sheet wit' de person in de bed?  If'n dat don' be impossible, den nothin' be impossible!"

An' Clothile say, "It can be done, I done did it befo' I marry you when I be's de nurse assist at de hospital, an mais! don' you be tellin' me nothin' is impossible when you do nothin' all day long!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  Our friend River is hosting, and other participants often include Charlotte/Mother OwlAndrew, and WiseWebWoman.

This week saw almost no new pictures of interest, so i dipped into past photos.

Angel Quadpod SissyCat (The Charismatic Enigma SissyCat), watching through her favorite window.

Angel Dansig the Round teaching a foster kitten the fine art of drinking from a gravity waterer.

Feeding turtles with Becca and Mr. Cal.

One of our sunsets across from the house.

Tripod SissyCat, lounging on the front porch.

A "good fence."

Little Girl loved to carve pumpkins.

Coda dog with the red collar, her brother in blue.  They were such small tykes.

Angel Mikey.  For reference, my shoe size is US7.

Butterfly in Mr. BA's garden.

Riley, the pastor's dog, trained to do hospital and nursing home visits, joins us at prayer group.

Little Girl is always very creative, especially at Halloween.

A wrought iron gate hangs as an outdoor art piece at church.

This week, Cookie wants to join the Kitties Blue at The Cat On My Head for their Sunday Selfies Blog Hop with her, "I need my favorite toys with me" selfie.

  3. All the pictures were so interesting to see this morning. I love seeing all the animals even though unfortunately so many are now angels. Angel Mikey was certainly no small kitty. I do have to tell you the funny thing, as soon as I clicked on your blog to read it Google told me I had to choose if I wanted to continue reading as this blog contained mature reading material. I don't remember the exact words, but more or less that it was not a good place to go, lol.
