Charlie Girl and Mr. Gray (Feline Friday), Friendly Fill-Ins, and Nature Friday

 ***********************************

Feline Friday was originally started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude (may he rest in peace), and i'm going to believe it's because he liked cats.

He handed hosting duties off to Sandee at Comedy Plus, and now she has entrusted it to me.

Feline Friday is simple to join.  All you have to do is: Post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (they may be silly or cute).  Then add your link!

One thing for sure is this is a fun and easy meme to do.  So come and join us in Feline Friday.

What better way to start the weekend than with a feline!

Mr. Gray is semi-feral and Ms. G takes very good care of him.  Charlie Girl is the cat two doors down and she's not feeling her best, she has cancer, but she is still enjoying mooching as much food as she can from the neighborhood feral feeding stations.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:

1. I plan to _____________________ and _____________________ in October.

2. _____________________was the highlight of my week.

3. ‘Tis the season for ________.

4. Though a lot of people like _________, I can’t stand it.

1. I plan to   work, babysit, take care of Grandma when i can, get my new insurance policy in place, and try to figure out when we can have an appointment with our financial person   in October.

2. Getting to watch Little Ben for a while Sunday and Annie on Tuesday   was the highlight of my week.

3. ‘Tis the season for   wondering when the hot weather is going to break in the swamps (we have worn shorts at Christmas sometimes, so there's no telling).

4. Though a lot of people like    mushrooms,   I can’t stand (it) them.

Someday Isn’t A Day of the Week (Six Sentence Story), Good Fences, Sammy’s Poetry Day, and Brian’s Thankful Thursday

 ***********************************

Several months ago, Ms. G got a storage unit "temporarily" so she could put things in it she wanted to sell online, getting them out of her house or keeping them out of her house as people have given her stuff they don't want to deal with when she helps them sell their house and they move.

In my experience of watching people with these units, once you start, you don't stop, it's what the storage unit places are counting on, it becomes a way to put off decisions for a "later" that never comes.

Sure enough, while her collection over there has grown instead of diminished much, she has now decided she simply needs a smaller unit to cut the costs because once she has an inventory, she's going to get rid of it all.

Thus, yesterday was spent moving everything from one storage unit into another, "taking a moment" everlastingly to take pictures and measurements of many items so they can go up for sale soon.

Please note, such pictures and measurements have been made before, and "soon" has not come yet, any more than "later" has.

I must admit, it is now organized and neatly packed and almost everything can be gotten to by simply moving one or two items, but it will be interesting to see whether any items go or if, heaven forbid, we're going to end up having to move everything back to a larger unit because she got more stuff "temporarily."

Linking up with Denise at Girlie On The Edge Blog, where she hosts Six Sentence Stories, and the cue is Stop.

It's Angel Sammy's Poetry Day!  This week's image and my poem:

Don't dis my chicken,

she's a happy bird,

my favorite pet

I give you my word.

She keeps me company

at the table, never begs,

and best part of all

she gives me eggs!
