So, Sunday

Sunday came early, as it always does, and i taught Sunday School.

Timmy was Timmy, as usual.  Most of the time he is either upside down, under his chair, or running.  You would think he doesn't hear a word, doesn't get the lessons, doesn't know a thing that's going on.  Then you ask a review question and he's the only one who knows the answer, or the full answer.

Timmy is my favorite.

After that, i went to a neighbor's house to help pull pork for the evening's scheduled fundraiser for the pool.  Yes, i volunteered at the fundraiser, too.  Bought four plates also, for the carnivores in my life.

There was enough pork left over that they will sell the rest for dinners at swim practice.

The stress of the last couple of days, along with finding more and more items in the house missing, has made for a lot of tension.  Interspersed with the work, a lot of the unpacking is having to wait as we first have to clean the mess our former houseguest left us.

This week will see me setting up appointments to help #1 Son as he prepares to move.

Bigger Girl did, as usual, lighten my mood some, though.  She quoted the Dark Shadows movie.

When her brother held the door for her, she noted that she liked the idea of men doing those things.  She said, "Some people think it's demeaning to women, but I don't.  It's a good thing.  After all, if there was equality of the sexes, men would become unmanageable."

  6. Love that bigger girl has it all figured out!

And I think it's wonderful when anyone holds a door open for anyone else, regardless of gender. Niceness, in all it's forms, rocks!

  7. Crabby, you are right. The reason to hold a door is that it's just plain impolite to let a door slam in someone's face!
