Six Sentence Story: How 25 Feels About It

His words really floored her.

"Yeah, the way this election is shaping up, if it comes down to having to choose between a douche bag and a turd sandwich, I'm not voting, and pardon my language!"

"Is that how most of your generation feels about it?" she asked him.

"Well, I can't answer for anyone else, I just know that if it's Trump or Hillary, it's like choosing between those two things I said, and I will just not vote."

"It makes me sad," she told him, "that it seems to always come down to this, especially since there are so few Trump supporters but his opponents can't get together enough to get him out of the way."

"That's part of what makes it so ridiculous," he noted, "but I also know that most of the people who could do the job well wouldn't want it, so this is what we get stuck with."

  2. Being Australian it is best for me not to comment on another nation's politics. But I do wish the US well who ever gets elected lets hope you have a big turnout to get a true representation of the nation's wishes. Curiously here if you are registered to vote you are required to do so or may be fined if you don't! There are teams even going to hospitals to ensure those who want to vote but can't get to polling stations can do so. So naturally there is always a 90%+ turnout or more.

  3. Wow, Mimi. I think you've put into words what most of America is feeling right now. I'm watching the campaigning with fear and trepidation. I know for sure who I'm not going to vote for, but that is a poor way to make a decision.

  4. You just summed up how I feel. I'll vote because we always do, but his time it's a huge joke and the joke is on the American people.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  5. Sorry, but I do not feel Hillary is the worst of the worst. Yes, she has her problems being rich connections, but these are also assets. ANYTHING is better than the two top GOP folks in my book.

  6. I'm with Tabor; not quite sure why Hilary is so loathed, especially when compared to alternatives. She seems well-qualified and reasonable, even if she is an ambitious political type. Who else runs for president besides ambitious political types? She ain't perfect but I can't help thinking there's a double standard by which her actions are judged much more harshly than a man's would be.

  8. Anyone who lies to the families of the ones that gave their life for our country, does not deserve to be President and that's just one of the many reasons, but it tops them all! Do we have a perfect system for electing a President...no, but it is what we have and we have to deal with it. I choose to pick from the lesser of the two evils!
