So glad the waters are receding. Did folks have problems with snakes and fire ants as the waters rose?
ReplyDeleteThere are sometimes problems with "critters" in the water. The ones we have to really watch for are the alligators, water moccasins, and cottonmouth snakes. Even coral snakes on occasion. Most people, when they were fleeing the water, didn't much care, they took the risk to get to rescue boats and high water vehicles.
DeleteIt's now, when the waters are receding, we may hear of trouble. People don't want to wait until the water is all the way down to get into their homes and try to salvage what they can.
So far i have not seen any stories of people bitten or attacked, but it may still happen. We pray it does not.

ReplyDeleteI know it's been a terrible ordeal, but I couldn't help laughing at those sprinklers.
ReplyDeleteThose sprinklers are ... well, like an insult, almost, except that in reality I am sure they were just on a timer that nobody altered the settings too. I am sorry the flooding was so difficult for everyone and I hope things get back to normal before too long.
