Tripod Outdoors and Friendly Fill-Ins

Feline Friday is hosted by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.  Right how he's recovering from surgery, so Sandee at Comedy Plus is hosting.

Feline Friday is simple to join. All you have to do is..

1) post a picture, drawing, cartoon or video of a cat (They may be silly or cute)

2) go to Sandee's page, linked above, then on the menu bar click on the Feline Friday tab to get the code

3) paste the code under your cat picture

4) add your name and link

That’s all there is to it! Be sure to check back every so often and visit all the Feline Friday bloggers. Also, please leave a nice comment on their blogs. Nasty comments will be deleted!

SissyCat, a/k/a Tripod, loves to go outside.  She never leaves the yard.

Later, without the flash from the camera, it's too dark to see her.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by McGuffy Ann Morris of McGuffy's Reader. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

My fill-ins for the statements are underlined:

Week 41: February 17, 2017

1.Snow ____________________________.

2. My favorite kind of soup is ___________________________________.

3. When no one is around, I ______________________.

4. ______________ is my _________________.

1. Snow is not common in the swamps of south Louisiana.  One time when the children were little and i woke to snow on the ground, i knew i had no time to waste.  It never lasts long here, so i woke them at just past dawn and hurried them outdoors.  Their protests at being awakened so early turned into thrills as they played in the snow for the first time ever.  We didn't have mittens so they wore clean socks on their hands, and they kept coming in to warm up a bit, then heading back out.  That was the first of only three times it has snowed since my eldest was born almost 26 years ago.

2. My favorite kind of soup is gumbo, as in, first you make a roux...

3. When no one is around, i enjoy the quiet!

4. Reading is my addiction.

  1. I like how you got a whole little story in the answer to the first question! I don't think I have ever tasted gumbo.

  6. If I were her, I wouldn't leave your yard either. Why leave cat paradise?

  7. Tripod looks just perfect enjoying her very own jungle. :-) I totally love the quiet when I am alone too, the tv is never on during the day. I can hear the cats purrr!

  8. Our "Tripod" was named Echo. She was our stray/feral matriarch for many years, until she was shot. Then we made her last few years indoor pampering!
I would love to visit your neck of the woods. I loved trucking through that area. Gumbo...and roux! Yum.
Quiet is wonderful, indeed. And, so is reading. HUGS.

  9. My cats always loved to wander the neighborhood. (Sadly, this led to some untimely injuries and deaths.) I wonder if Tri-pod is hesitant to leave the yard because she's afraid her missing limb will slow her down if trouble comes. I agree with your fill ins. A year or so ago, it snowed in Egypt. You should have seen the Egyptian leap outside, delighted like children. I'm someone who likes the quiet too.

  10. I do not keep any pet cats but there are many stray cats in my area. Sometimes they come into my garden to pee and poo and leave behind the foul smell. Maybe wanting to help fertilize my garden. Ha ha...

  11. We lived in Louisiana, Ft. Polk to be specific... lived there about three years. My husband is retired military and we spent a lot of time in the South. I remember the humidity!
