Little Girl, who is in the Army National Guard, had a training weekend, so she spent her nights here.  She brought Coda the German shepherd, and the dog slept on the cot with her.  When i had to sneak down in the middle of the night, Coda jumped up in protection mode, a faithful night guard:

Halt!  Who goes there?

I believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. Together, we can light up the entire world! ~ McGuffy Ann Morris

  4. That's one guard I wouldn't challenge! Thanks for enlightening me as to why I found a fairy talking to my pot of mushroom soup this morning!

  5. Mimi,

It's good to have a guard dog. I wish we had one outdoors. Maybe, we will someday. DD#2 has an excellent guard dog who would protect her at all cost. I'm so glad she has him and takes him on her solo hikes. Hopefully, she'll never need him in that capacity but if she does the he would die defending her. Today's post is a hodgepodge of posts with 4M, Sparks, A2Z, & BoTB. Have a tunetastic week and happy A2Zing, my friend!

  7. Coda is a cutie and a great guard dog. I always felt safe when we had a dog, but with so many cats now ,it would be tough to find one that I could trust with them. Excellent spark.

  8. I deleted the two extra links. No problem. We all mess then up from time to time.

Love your Spark. Spot on. Nice is far better.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday. May you have a blessed day and week. ♥

  11. Coda is beautiful and, in typical Shepherd fashion, an excellent guard dog. Gentle & loving until you give them a reason not to. I love German Shepherds. I don't think I'll ever stop missing mine.

  12. Fond tho' I am of knowledge, even arcane knowledge, I have to admit that "Calculated date of the return of Odysseus from the Trojan War, BC1178" just makes me think, "Somebody had way too much time on their hands..."

  13. His leash looks like he is carrying a strap in his mouth -- like he was going to tie up the intruder with it, lol.
