Thankful All Over (Ten Things of Thankful)

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

***********************************

There are always reasons to be thankful, even on a long workday when there’s not much time to write.

In fact, i’m grateful for the work.

We are making progress replacing all the light bulbs in the house with LEDs.  It’s slow, waiting for the ones we have to burn out and changing one at a time, but i am thankful it is happening.

The cat food delivery came just in time.  (We have to use a prescription food, the cheapest way to get it is autoshipped through Chewy.com, and it’s always a guessing game if the cats will eat it faster this time than last and i’ll have to go buy a small bag from our vet.)

We have started getting our tax information, and i am thankful i’ve got it all in one place and i’m adding things up a bit each day to get ready.

In spite of doing my best, i have not managed to lose my latest reusable water bottle. :)

Little Girl is getting her promotion, she will be leaving for Sergeant’s School (that’s not what they call it, but that’s what it really is) in the next couple of months.

She has also brought Coda here again, and i am always thankful for a German shepherd in the house.

The weather has been moderate, and Tripod SissyCat has been able to spend her hour on the porch every evening.  (This will change, cold is coming, but it’s been lovely and i am thankful.)

Brother-in-Law, The Mouth, was stranded when his tire went flat in a store parking lot.  While he went in the store to wait for us to get off work to come help, someone used a portable tank to fill his tire with air!  We are thankful to whomever it was, the person did not stick around to be thanked, B-i-L just found it pumped up when he went back out there.  Also, i am thankful it held until he could drive the truck to Kevin and Lenny’s, and they are fixing the tire free because he bought it there.  Then there’s the fact that today i am going to NOLA, so Sweetie will walk to Kevin and Lenny’s to pick up the truck and then drive it back to B-i-L, i am so glad they are walking distance from us.

We have clean laundry, enough to last until i can get back to the laundromat on Tuesday.

Please join us and our gracious and wonderful hostess Kristi from ThankfulMe, write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful.

  8. Great list of thankfuls. Congrats to your daughter!
I love Chewy, I get a lot of food from there including Sammy's prescription diet. That was very kind of someone to put air in the tire and not even need to be thanked. Enjoy the rest of the weekend! :) XO
