It's Carnival Time! (Wordless Wednesday) and Words for Wednesday

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

Linking up with Wordless Wednesday and Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and has become a moveable feast of word or picture or music prompts that encourages us to write stories, poems, or whatever strikes our fancy.

This month, the prompts are being provided by River at Drifting Through Life.

This week's words are:

1. passport
2. movies
3. puffed
4. complete
5. transport
6. bleach

and/or:

1. avenue
2. helicopter
3. fair
4. clearly
5. foolishness
6. ability

If this was the MOVIES, now would be the time to BLEACH my hair, grab my PASSPORT, and find some form of TRANSPORT, train, plane, bus, HELICOPTER, anything, and make my break.

It would be a COMPLETE removal of myself from the FOOLISHNESS with which I am surrounded and which I have no ABILITY to change.

There are currently no FAIR skies in my forecast, and no AVENUE open before me which I can pursue that will bring the change I desire.

Resistance is futile, the PUFFED up little tyrants who run my world will remain in charge of everything.

Or so they think.

My thoughts and dreams are CLEARLY my own.

  1. Nice use of the prompts, yes your thoughts and dreams are clearly your own.
And so many of today's celebrations speak to me. Now I sit here in my cold study with pictures of the market in Khartoum, somewhere in Austria, Polish streets, music by Shumann, and words from Benedict XVI's speech, all flashing through my brain. Where I should be writing next chapter in the Words for Wednesday-challenge.
I too like reading dictionaries. "Read page five" gives me only one problem: Which dictionary do I choose?

  14. Thanks for reminding me to grab a King Cake which aren't all that plentiful around here. I remember letting a lady have the last one a few years ago but this time all bets are off. Sounds like a fun action movie.
