Once again, it’s Thankful Day, and i am slamming into it at full speed.
Yes, i know i talked about it, but we're going to have to put off the reasons we are thankful about medical stuff to a move convenient season. You’re welcome.
There’s a great deal for which i am thankful, but the first one is this:
We're participating in the scavenger hunt party for RaenaBelle. Make a note of the answer to the following question and attend the party at DezizWorld.com on June 5th 2019. You'll need to collect 7 answers from 7 different blogs, links can be found at DezizWorld, and then leave them in the comments of the party post.
Here’s the question: What cartoon cat is 100 (1919) years old?
This party is going to be so much fun, and i am thankful i am getting to participate and post a question.
The second biggest thankful this week is for the existence of anole lizards.
It seems The Big Boss's wife is deathly afraid of them. She saw one in a plant inside their house and jumped in her car to flee while calling her husband telling him to do something.
The Big Boss, of course, called Sweetie, who went over there, transported the plant out of the house, found the offending critter and rehomed it in the outdoor garden, then put the plant back in the house. Peace was restored, and Sweetie was rewarded by The Big Boss with a full tank of gas for Lunceford the Land Yacht.
That was two thankful things, the gas and the smiles it has brought me every time i've thought about the whole situation.
Also i am personally thankful for the lizards being around our house (and even on occasion getting in) because they eat the ugh! bugs.
All week i have been cat-sitting and garden tending, along with all of the regular work, as well as us running Brother-in-Law to work. These things have made for many reasons to be thankful.
Brother-in-Law is always on time in the morning, and i am thankful he is, it means i get where i need to go on time.
It would be nice to be able to say i’m thankful for rain that has made hand watering the gardens unneeded, but all i can say is i’m thankful for clouds that keep it from being as hot as it could be while i am watering.
Also, i figured out how to set the lawn sprinkler in such a way that i can leave it to water one part of the garden in front without getting too much on the lawn (Mr. BA didn't want the lawn watered this time, he says it's already too well established to need it) while i go do part of the back. Every few minutes i move the sprinkler in the front and move on to another part of the back yard. It has made everything go a bit faster, and i appreciate that.
Dr. D was in a lot of pain Monday, so i am thankful she was able to finally travel to her doctor in Houston and have whatever procedure it is done that stops the hurting for a few months.
It has always concerned me that she goes alone and gets dropped off and picked up for the procedure by a hotel shuttle. Yes, the hotel staff always put her in the first room next to the front desk and look in on her, but this time even the place that does her procedure insisted she needs more than that, so i'm thankful there is a sitter service in Houston that specializes in doing just what she needs, drive her there, wait while the procedure is done, drive her back, and stay for a few hours to make sure she's okay.
Tuesday i was very thankful that the key and check were left for me at Ms. B's house so i could just go when i had time, it took the pressure off.
Ms. G had a special assignment for me on Wednesday, and i'm thankful for two things, that i got to meet a good friend of hers and i got a bit of insight into Ms. G's life from way before i knew her. There is so much more to her story, and i've realized that for a long time, but she doesn't talk about anything but business often.
Usually on Ms. V and Carl Thursday i am at their house for up to ten hours, depending on how much needs to be done. Because Ms. GA and Mr. BA are out of town and didn't need me to clean the house yesterday, i was able to do Carl's part of the house on Thursday and the main house yesterday. Much less stressful that trying to cram it all in on one day along with the cat-sitting and the evening garden duty, and i am thankful for that break.
Only a janitor would say she is thankful that she actually had her pumice stone with her at the cat shelter and so was able to really go after the rings in those toilets.
Little Girl is going to be on Army assignment the whole month of June, so i am thankful that today she and i are going to visit Grandma and Grandpa together.
Altogether it's been a very busy week, and i would be very thankful for one more thing, if all of my friends would be patient with me while i get around to reading your posts. It may take a bit, but i am determined to catch up.
Please join us and our gracious and wonderful hostess Kristi from ThankfulMe, write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful.

Wow, you have a lot to be thankful for. Right now for me it's mostly for my wife. Since I can't do a great deal outside an this really pisses me off, Mary Lou thought hurt herself, she can do a great deal more than I can. I thankful that God gave me her.
ReplyDeleteCruisin Paul
I've done my part on helping you out... haven't managed a post all week. :-/ (Bad blogger!) It was for reasons of productivity, however, so there's a thankful for me. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou've done a great job, as always, finding things to be thankful for, even if the medical thankfuls need to hold off a bit.
ReplyDeleteThe scavenger party sounds interesting.
My son used to have an anole lizard; they are kind of cute.
It sounds like work is definitely keeping you busy, (and also being able to visit with Little Girl--thank her for her service!) so of course we will all be patient with you. Have a good week! :-)
Cool on the full tank of gas. That's a great payoff for taking care of the precious lizard.
ReplyDeleteI have all the questions now. I just have one more question to answer and then I'm done.
You have such busy weeks. Makes me tired just reading all your jobs and everything else you volunteer for.
Have a fabulous weekend. ♥
