We're Becoming Accustomed to Him (Feline Friday) and Friendly Fill-Ins

(Because some people like Blogger and some like WordPress, i am putting the same content at both.  If you would prefer to read this on the other site, it is linked here.)

***********************************

Feline Friday was started by Steve, The Burnt Food Dude, and i'm going to believe it's because he likes cats.
He has handed hosting duties off to Sandee, of Comedy Plus, and it's simple to join, just follow the link to Sandee's page for the rules and the code.

We are all getting used to how Mikey looks with his new 'do.

Friendly Fill-Ins are easy to do. There are four statements: the first two statements are provided by Ellen of 15AndMeowing, and the final two are offered by Lorianne The Menagerie Mom of Four-Legged Furballs. They try to make sure the statements will be fun to both answer and share. The linky will be posted at or about 12:00 AM on Friday. Please head over to one of their sites, link up, and share your thoughts!

Here are this week's statements with my responses underlined:

1. I joined ____________ in _______________.

2. I wish I’d asked _______________ about _________________.

3. _________ had the biggest impact on who I am today.

4. _________ is the most beautiful place I have ever been.

1. I joined Blogger in 2009, on July 1 to be exact, and i have posted every day since.

2. I wish I’d asked all of the family members who have passed on more about their lives growing up.  Grandma and Grandpa are really the only ones left, and only sometimes can i get them to talk about their childhoods, but i will keep trying.

3. My faith has had the biggest impact on who I am today.

4. Switzerland, up in the Alps, is the most beautiful place I have ever been.

  2. Mikey is a beauty. I wish I had asked my parents more questions too - and that they would have answered (truthfully).

  3. Mikey looks cute, and I am glad he kept his floofy tail.
I agree so much with #2 except I wasn't able to ask questions. My father died from leukaemia when I was 5 and my mother was 25. She would never speak of him and my grandparents told me not to ask because it upset my mum so much. I barely remember him because he was in hospital for a long time and children were discouraged from visiting back then. I never even had a photo of him until my mother died, and then I found 2 of me with my dad. Those photos are very precious. I just wish my grandparents had talked to me about him.

  6. Mimi,

WOW, you've blogged every day since 2009? That's amazing! I was thinking like you with #2. I like your answer to #3, my spiritual roots were shaped early on thanks to my late grandparents with their examploray Christian life and loving hearts. My parents also were vital in providing spiritual guideance and having blind faith that God will provide everything that I need (sometimes more). Great answers. Have a funtastic weekend, dearie!
