Explanations (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

***********************************

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

It’s only January 12, and so too early to tell if my word of the year, calm, is going to stick.  Mostly it has, as i heard someone say, “Bless it or block it!” and when stressful thoughts want to steal that peace, i decide to block it.

If you have a word of the year, or a resolution, how is it going?

Boudreaux done hear hims boy, Tee, talkin’ to a frien’.

“Non,” say Tee.  “I not be goin’ take dat dare!”

“Why non?” say de frien’.

“It be my new year resolute,” say Tee.

“You done made a resolute?” ax de frien’.

“Mais, oui.  I done resolute dat I not goin’ do nothin’ I not want to ‘splain to de paramedic!”

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

It’s just over six months since our last vacation, and so almost six months until the next one, and i am waxing nostalgic.  So, some vacation photos:

  4. Those photos say "calm" even though one has that splash. The calmness of the reclining photographer explain it! My word this year should be "brave". The braveness to say "yes" and the braveness to say "no".
