Boss Business, Car Crazies and Pandemic Humor, and Random and Happy Tuesday Post

***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

There are a few fun things to share this week, and a couple of “what was this person thinking” moments.

Ms. JAI reported a bit back that she could not find her credit card.  She had trouble last year with a couple who were “helping” her and they took her card for $1,500.  She did not press charges against them, just cut them out of her life.  She said she would never be able to say the line in The Lord’s Prayer, “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us,” if she didn’t handle it that way.

Another young lady had begun helping her daily, playing cards with her and running all of her errands.  Turns out she had lifted the card and used it $200 worth for gas and groceries over the course of a few days.

The Visa company alerted Ms. JAI to the odd transactions, she went to one of the groceries and checked the video, and sure enough, it was the young woman.

When asked why she had done it, she said, “Well, you didn’t charge those other people, so I thought you wouldn’t mind.”

She has since paid back the money and left the scene.

Some people.

Dr. D had quite the list yesterday.  After getting so several things and gathering myself to head to the store for supplies, she said, “Oh, and don’t forget about Office Depot.”

What, i asked, do we need from there?

“Copies.”

What copies?

“Well, I had them ready.  Let me go see if I can find them.”

She gathered up her birth certificate, marriage and divorce papers, social security card, Medicare card, and other such things, and asked for two copies of each.

For? i asked.

“To send to my children, so they will have copies.”

You do realize the copies will do them no good, they will have to have originals to do anything.

“Yes, I know, I’m just trying to save them a step, so they will have these things in hand if anything happens to me.”

But the copies will do them no good, they will still have to come down here to the house and get the originals.

“Yes, I know, but who knows what kind of shape the house will be in then and this way they will have them.”

Sometimes there’s just no reason, i decided at that point, to say anything further, and made the copies.  If she’s paying, who am i to complain?

Then i went to two MallMarts, two Dollar Stores, and the Office Depot in search of everything she wanted.  Yes, one of those days.

Running errands does have its perks, i got to see this bumper sticker for my amusement:

#2 Son walked into the house the other day with the startling announcement, “Hey mom, guess what!  I got to beat up a meth-head the other day!”

???

“Yeah, it was cool!  This guy on meth was running from the police, and I was sitting in my car at the light over there in front of the CVS, with my windows down, enjoying the breeze and chillin’ to my music and on my way home after work, and next thing I know there’s this guy with half his body leaning in my window, and he’s yelling ‘Take off, man, the police are after me’ and he had this huge gash on his leg so he’s bleeding all over and I thought, What the! so I started punching him and beating him up until he fell out my window and he kept running and they had to Tazer him and it was so cool!”

He had a picture that a friend of his who is a firefighter at the nearest station which responded had taken.

He was asked if he wanted to press charges, but he did not.  He was tired after work and said the guy had enough against him, they didn’t need much more, and they had the picture of how he’d tried to get in a stranger’s car, that was enough.

Now you know why i pray for a guardian angel to be with every one of my children every step they take daily during my prayer time each morning.  This world is nuts.

Speaking of nuts, how about a few more virus related funnies:

Have a blessed and beautiful day, everyone, with no crazies trying to get in your car.

  1. I hope your day (and that of all your family) is crazy free.
I am pleased that the young woman paid the money back when challenged though.

  3. Copies! Boy did I have trouble with copies. I lost my photo ID and had no other way to prove who I was to get a new one. I gathered up as much paperwork as I could find, only to discover it was all worthless, even my birth certificate because it was in German and all other papers were photocopies. In the end I had to get several non family members to sign papers saying I was who I am.

  4. That is just terrible how people stole that credit card and they don't seem to have the tiniest bit of remorse. Very sad.

  5. It is never safe to allow other people to handle our credit card for us. Sooner or later they will be tempted. Thank God for His guardian angels watching over our children. Have a wonderful day.

  7. Your job has such a lot of funny blog fodder. Well not the thieves, but logic sometimes you just can't seem to get across to your clients. You're right, copies don't work.

Loved all the funnies. Hubby and I are doing just fine so we don't need a divorce lawyer.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

But you can not travel without the new black and white ID. The world we live in is very different from even ten years ago. I hope your day is blessed. HUGS
