Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays. Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.
Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you. What better way to start the week than with a smile!
The kittens at the shelter just beg to be photographed, especially when they are climbing the walls of the cages:

Sparks, the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, is on hiatus, so here's an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border. She and Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey take turns providing a theme each week. Charlotte/Mother Owl almost always participates, too. This week the theme is Home.
Two poems, a rhyme and a haiku:
When i was but a wee one,
It always seemed to me
That home was just wherever
My family happened to be.
Once i had my children,
A different measuring tool,
Whatever place had Sweetie and our kids
Became my golden rule.
Now that i am older,
The children all flew the nest,
Thus home is wherever we gather,
No one place is best.
The best home of all
Someday i pray to see it
Pearly Gates ope’ wide

ReplyDeleteAnd I love all of your poems.
Lovely poems. Home is a concept, not really a place.

Have a safetastic week 😷😷😷
I plan to make a plan but I cannot decide what plan to plan. I always thought that making a plan would be plan sailing but it is not. To plan a plan will stay mainly as a plan.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Those kittens are so adorable, but we would probably chase them if they landed at our house. Great quote about plans. Happy Monday.
ReplyDelete6:53 in the morning and I've already blown No Dirty Dishes Day... dagnabbit. Should have used a paper cup!
ReplyDeleteNational Museum Day would be a great celebration here since we have a world class art museum in Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, but COVID-19 is keeping it closed for now. Maybe next year. Have a blessed week.

ReplyDeleteMimi,
ReplyDeleteThose kittens are so adorable! They are ready to go home with someone, aren't they? I love your poem! Home is where the heart is so if it's here or there, if you're sharing it in the company of those you love then home is where you make it. Like you, my eternal home destination lies just beyond those pearly gates. Have a wonderful holiday weekend and stay well, my dear! xx
