It’s Thankful Day and head out on vacation day.
This year, thankfully, there was no flood and desperate dash for a rental and near disasters.
If you think that means it’s been easy and smooth sailing, you still don’t know me very well, do you.
Every day has been a workday, a couple of them every long, and i am thankful i got through it.
Today was Ms. S for the second time this week, and she is getting weaker and sicker by the day. She needed items from the store, so i am thankful i was able to get her groceries to last until i get back (she lives in an apartment complex for seniors and they deliver some of her meals, all i had to get was her coffee and poptarts and other sundries, but i got extra to hold her out).
We managed, thankfully, to buy all the cat supplies we needed.
Between jobs, i am thankful i was able to buy a new lock for the front door (of course the old one broke) and get it installed, and i am grateful Sweetie went and had keys copied so we could distribute them to the children and one for Brother-in-Law.
Brother-in-Law, thankfully, has agreed to come by and make sure the air conditioners (we use window units) are set to the correct temps morning and evening.
Bigger Girl, thankfully, has agreed to come take care of the cats.
Both of them will look after getting the mail and papers in and the garbage out, depending on what time the mail shows up (anywhere from 11am to 8pm believe it or not).
Right now i am so far behind in blog reading that my last thankful is that you will indulge me and let me catch up to each of you as i can. After all, reading is relaxing so i hope to do a good bit of it over the next few days.
As a bonus, how about a future thankful — we are supposed to get back on a Saturday, and the Monday after, Dr. D will be out of town, so my first day back in the saddle should be a bit easier.
Please write up your own list and link up to Ten Things of Thankful, where Kristi and her co-hosts always have a warm welcome waiting.

I hope your (totally deserved and much needed) vacation is wonderful. Blog reading and comments are MUCH less important than your break.
ReplyDeleteThank you Lord for all you do for us.
ReplyDeleteGod bless, Mimi. Happy Holidays.
Enjoy your well deserved holidays, You do not ned to comment, and if you feel the need,a simple "I've read this", "Thanks", "Well written" or some such short statement well suffice at least in my place. Just because I almost always write half a novel in your comments, does not mean you have to reciprocate :)
