It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Carl had one of "those" mornings.  The kind where you are putting on your belt for work and it breaks, the buckle end coming undone from the little shaft it was attached to.  Being Carl, he wanted to try glueing it; instead i encouraged him to grab one of the other 3 he has.  And i told him trying to find glue would cut into his exercise time.

Later, when talking to Ms. V about it, she noted that Mr. L's previous colleague has just invented a new very special award winning glue that is now out on the market, and it just might do the trick, she would ask him about it.  Now you know where Carl gets that throw-nothing-away attitude.  The apple did not fall far from the tree on that score.

It was the kind of morning where you figure out, when looking for your keys, that you locked them in the car the night before while cleaning the car out.  Off for the spare key we went, only to find that the last time he locked himself out of the car and used the spare, he'd put it on the wrong hook.  Heart in your throat moments there.

Then the debate over what to take for a snack.  He had a sandwich ready, and a peach, but wanted something else.  He'd bought a bag of Halloween candy, so i offered him a box of Nerds.  No, they spill and get everywhere.  Okay, Laffy Taffy.  Nope, it has cholesterol and gives him gas, and he's out of gas pills.  No, i haven't read that scientific study yet, either.

The whole time we were getting him ready for work, i would turn to look for him and have to look down.  He was dropping to the floor to do his push ups and his sit ups at every opportunity.  This was interspersed with, of course, dancing around the room and grabbing the kettlebell to do arm exercises.  As is usual, his breakfast was a sight to behold.

Not shown, the milk, prunes, and tea i'd already put back in the fridge.

Once done with Carl's, i went to Ms. PA's house.  Mr. Jack, who cannot remember my name, asked his wife, "What's this lady here to do again?"  Smiling, i told him i was going to dust his room.  He smiled back and said, "Well, dust the places you'd like to, and the places you wouldn't like to, but let the old man get out of the way first!"

Okay, time for some of the stuff that Grandma forwards to me.
