"What are you doing?" he asked, as she sat slumped over with her head on her desk.

"Trying to rest my eyes," she answered, "I am fearfully sleepy today and my eyes just keep shutting on me."

"It's too early to go to sleep, if you take a nap now,  you will wake up at 2am and not be able to sleep the rest of the night and it will be worse tomorrow."

"I know, so what do you suggest, 'cause I think I'm going to go to sleep whether I want to or not if I just keep sitting down."

"It's a lovely evening for a walk -- maybe a stroll down to the park and back?"

"Sure, if we can meander past the ice cream place while we're down there!"

Ms. S's old house was bought by the people who lived behind her.  They had the plots redone legally so her remodeled house now has almost no back yard, most of that area is now their back yard.  They are going to rent the house out.  Here's the new fenced in area behind her old house:

Brian of Brian's Home hosts the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.   It's time to share something for which i am thankful.  

Today i am thankful for two things.

The first is that when i got home from work yesterday, i was able to collapse in bed and stay there a few hours.  It was one of those times when the schedule just got to me, i had to recharge my batteries they were low.

The second is that my Words for Wednesday friends, who were waiting for me to get to my story, were kind about the delay.  It was later than usual, but my story is there.
