Better (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Yesterday, Uncle P was watching a baseball game and it sparked a couple of discussions.  Grandma talked about listening to games on the radio as a child.  We talked about whether the pitcher would be pulled after he gave up 2 homers in a row.

Finally, Grandma commented that it might be fun to be an umpire.  "Think I should go to umpire school?" she asked teasingly.

If you don't mind being yelled at and having to break up fights, i guess it could be a good job.

Boudreaux, Tee Boudreaux, an' Thibodeaux done be comin' home from de ball game dat be play between dey team an' de team from up de bayou in de nex' town.

Boudreaux an' Thibodeaux be talkin' 'bout why dey team done lost de game, wit' Boudreaux sayin' it be de manager be no good, an' Thibodeaux sayin' it be de umpire were prejudice 'gainst de team.

Dey be goin' back an' fo'th 'bout it, an' fin'ly Tee done say, "It be our fault!"

An' Boudreaux ax, "How it be our fault?"

An' Tee say, "Mais, if we'd done been born in de town up de bayou, we'd be fans o' de better team!"
