Tempest in a Coffee Pot, and Funnies, and Random and Happy Tuesday Post

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.  

This past several days, with cat sitting/watering plants twice a day (before and after work) has me so far behind on blog reading i wonder if i'll catch up by Christmas.

The spam calls about "your Social Security account" have started again.  This time, they want to "help" me apply for Social Security disability.  Face it, the only help they really want is to help themselves to your bank account.  It's not rude to ignore their calls and not answer, i promise, even if they did leave a message.

Sweetie called me with a tragedy while i was at work.  "I was in the middle of making coffee this morning, and the coffee maker just up and died on me!  It was awful!  It spit all of the grounds out all over the place and then the heating element went out, and I didn't get my coffee this morning so I had to go to McDonalds!"

In our house, not having coffee is torture, so plans were made right away to procure a new coffee maker.  The last one was $10 at MallMart.  As i told him, be prepared for sticker shock.  More than twice that amount was spent, but we now have a coffee maker that will turn itself off after two hours.  No more worrying when Sweetie forgets to unplug and turn off the coffee maker.
