No Deal (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

In order to lighten the mood, i went looking for funny funeral stories, and found one about Boudreaux's cousin, Guidry.

Guidry done gots him a small plot o' de land, a mule fo' de plow, an' a wife name Athalie dat done nag him merciless.  All day long she complain an' nag.

One day, he be out plowin' wit' de mule (he done do dat lots, to gets away from de naggin') an' hims wife come out to give him de lunch, an' she start to complain 'bout sum'pin.  Well, dat dere mule jes' turn him 'round an' kick her an' she drop down dead!

At de funeral, de priest done note dat when de women come up at de casket an' say sum'pin to Guidry, he jes' nod hims head like he be agreein' wit' dem, an' when de men come up an' talk, he shake hims head non.

Jes' when de buryin' be done, an' people done be leavin' to go home, de priest done take Guidry on de side an' ax him what be goin' on befo' when people be talkin' to him, what fo' he be noddin' at de women an' shakin' hims head non wit' de men.

Guidry say, "De women all be comin' up an' sayin' how lovely Athalie done look, an' how pretty de flowers, an' sayin' how sad it all be, an' I done be 'greein' wit' dem.  Den de men all come up an' ax me de same t'ing, an' I gots to tell dem all non."

"What dey be axin'?" de priest want to know.

"Mais!  Dey all say, 'Is de mule fo' sale?'"
