What Makes Him Mad (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Miss Eva, my sister-in-law, and Uncle P's best friend James have been finishing up the last two bookcases he was building.  The cases had already been paid for as an order of seven total, and Uncle P had cut the pieces and had them ready, James simply put them together and Miss Eva sanded and stained them.  Now they can be delivered, and she's trying to sell all the woodworking equipment on Craigslist.

While most of that equipment costs a bit to buy, it seems that once it's been used, it's hard to get people interested in paying much for it, even when it's been well cared for.  She'll probably get a bit more than pocket change, but not much more.

It done be payday, an' Boudreaux come in from goin' to de bank an' he give Clothile an envelope.

Aline done see an' ax, "Mère, what dat be?"

An' Clothile say, "Dat be my 'mad money,' at least, dat be what you Père call it."

"What fo' he call it dat?" she ax.

"Mais, 'cause he be mad when I spend it!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.       

Grandma is working on a couple of new things.  She had cleared away a lot of her art supplies, but is starting to pull them out again.

Mr. BA's garden is still lovely in the fall, as usual.
