It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.
Part of today’s post is also a writing challenge. This is how it works: one of the contributing bloggers picked a number between 12 and 74. The submitted number is a challenge to participating bloggers to write at least one piece using that exact number of words.
This month, the word count number is: 28
It was submitted by: Karen at Baking in a Tornado

Arriving at work yesterday, Carl snuggled down into his chair, pulled up his blanket, and said, "Check the schedule! I don't have to be there until 9 today!"
Smiling, i told him i knew his schedule had gone back to winter hours, that i wasn't trying to wake him, only i did need the cleaning supplies.
When he finally got up, i shooed him into the shower straight away so i could get the sheets and pillowcases to the wash, no lying around playing online.
By that time, i'd sorted out his clothes. He'd picked 3 different outfits for the day because every time he goes to get ready, he starts over again.
His fridge was the usual jumbled mess, but i used it to my advantage by grabbing a sandwich bag and putting the last still good sandwich in it.
Then i added a fruit cup, water bottle and freezer pack to keep it cold and told him it was enough snack for the day. He bought it.
It is enough since he has at least a 3 course breakfast daily. Yesterday i think he was out of oatmeal, he had toast with three different jams.
That was his starter, then came cereal with prunes, followed by yoghurt. The cereal was a mix from 2 boxes, of course. He can't have just one cereal.
On a totally different topic (and not limited to 28 words because i've run out of brain cells that will count tonight!), i've changed my comments from embedded to a pop up box for those who were having difficulty. One thing i did not change was the captcha option, it is turned off and always has been. If you are being stopped by a captcha, i am very sorry, i did not turn it on and have no idea how to prevent it.
Any ideas or suggestions on that are welcome.
We're having real autumn weather most days now, so i went with Maxine at her coldest for the funnies.
Have a blessed and beautiful day, everyone!

Heh, your funnies had me shivering and I've never been anywhere near snow :)
ReplyDeleteCarl is always good for a new story. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI love snow!
Gramma has a scary fridge because she can't see, but Mom cleans it out every time we visit. Carl's fridge is just ridiculous, but he doesn't seem to mind! Great Maxine funnies. She is always good. No captcha for us yet, comment thing works fine.
ReplyDeleteA great set of cartoons. Thank you so much, Mimi.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I am feeling nice and cool at 24 C because it is raining outside now. I like shivering funnies.
ReplyDeleteI'm always in awe of Carl's eating habits, but clearly the structure gives him comfort.
ReplyDeleteAnd if shivering only did count as exercise, I'd be the healthiest girl around this time of year.
OMG! How can I pick a favorite MAXINE. They are all soooooo funny.
ReplyDeleteI love when you post about Carl. He's a whirlwind and you handle him very well. Bravo.
ReplyDeleteI love Maxine. She's my kind of gal.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Big hug, my friend. ♥
Great post about 'crazy Carl' and 'Mad Maxine' ~ Lol ~ You, my dear are a saint dealing with Carl so well ~ Xo
ReplyDeleteLiving in the moment,

Carl's story is always told with such affectionate humour. Thank you for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteAnd great work on the Counting!
Laughed out loud at the funnies, especially the chattering teeth!
Wowee- thanks for all the cool Maxine cartoons! And man o man is Carl a handfull! And you do take care of him so kindly!
ReplyDeleteMimi,
ReplyDeleteIt's been chilly here at nights, especially. Some days have been, too. I don't mind too much if the sun is out because that makes the chill manageable as long as it's not windy but it really doesn't matter at all if I'm indoors all day. :) Great cold weather giggles. Maxine always makes me smile.
Maxine is funny and so is Carl. :)
ReplyDeleteI wonder what would happen if Maxine met Carl?!?! Hey, I get the captcha thing on every blogger blog, but only on Tuesday and Wednesday, then it disappears. I will get it on this post too since it's Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteThere you are...with winter approaching...while down this way, here we are with summer fast approaching. :)
