It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus.
All of us tend to be creatures of habit whether we admit it or not, and this is especially true of pets, children, and Carl.
If he’s used to a garbage can being in a certain place, then that’s where it should be. The garbage can should be on the side of the washer, and it isn’t.
The can does not belong on this side of the washer. |
That doesn’t make a difference to Carl.
The can belongs here, this is where the garbage will be thrown. |
One thing i’ve learned is to never, ever be surprised at what i find in his room. When i found his mother’s apron in his underwear drawer
i just figured he’d washed it and put it away with his stuff because that was faster than putting it where it belongs.
(Side Note: Carl as you would imagine, can be a messy eater. Sometimes he puts on an apron when he eats to keep his clothes clean. He has a few of his own but if one of his mom's is closer, well, you get the idea.)
Only it wasn’t clean. No, i don’t want to know how it got put away dirty, and yes, i washed it. Of course, when i was done, i put it where it belonged.
Carl has a Peet brand shoe and glove dryer. When i got there yesterday, he had a pair of shoes on it. Then i looked closer,
and i realized that was the refrigerator that was plugged in. The dryer wasn’t until i plugged it in myself.
Now i have to ask, have you ever been this tired?
Have a blessed and beautiful day, everyone!

How I would LOVE to sleep as well as any of those animals. And yes, I am a creature of habit too. I still find myself trying to put knives where our knife block lived five years ago when I am tired or distracted. I sympathise with Carl.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, Mimi. Thanx.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Carl is good as always ... he's like children, just more so ;) And yes some habits persist for long time, like EC I have a couple of things that was moved like 18 years ago, and I still open the wrong cupboard! Other things are no problem, even if they were moved only recently. Our brains are strange creatures.
ReplyDeleteI have been that tired ;) Once I fell asleep eating breakfast and woke up still with a piece of bun in my mouth :) Long ago now.
I have on occasion been that tired. I'm a creature of habit too. Whenever I've moved house, things get put in the new cupboards as closely as possible to the arrangement from the previous home.
ReplyDeleteCarl is really something and the best for a laugh. His mind really has its own agenda! Sleeping animals are always good for a laugh too. Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteCarl, Oh Carl. He is really special. Love the over tired animals. I wish I could sleep like them.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have been that tired. Pretty much since I became a parent!
ReplyDeleteLove keeping up with Carl. I too am a creature of habit. It is easy for me to relate to the tired animals. My kids left me their three dogs for the weekend and with my two the five made this house look like a daycare center on Monday morning.
ReplyDeleteI would be exhausted just looking after Carl. I keep saying Mimi you are an angel. Would anyone else help Carl? It's funny sometimes.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day my friend.
Cruisin Paul
I love Carl and I would enjoy being around him. He's so entertaining and I'm guessing he has a heart of gold.
ReplyDeleteLove all the precious babies. Adorable.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Big hug, my friend. ♥
maybe it's age catching up, but yes, here lately I
ReplyDeleteHAVE been this kinda tired :) !~~ ☺☺♥3
Mimi,
ReplyDeleteI haven't been that dead tired unless I'm really sick. The last time I was this tired without being ill was the night our granddaughter was born as we were up more than 24-hours. When my head hit the pillow, I was out like a light until the alarm clock went off and then it was like please not now! :)
Love all the 'tired animal' photos ~ sweet and yes i have been that tired at points in my life ~ Xo
ReplyDeleteWishing you lots of laughter in your days,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Job security and lots of writing material too. :) Cute sleepy critters. XO
ReplyDeleteIt all makes sense to Carl so on with the show. Love the snoozy critters!
