Sister and Brother (Awww Monday), Inspiring Quote of the Week, and Everyday (Poetry Monday)

***********************************

Awww Monday is hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus.

Join us every Monday for Awww...Mondays.  Post a picture that makes you say Awww... and that's it.

Make sure you get the code from Sandee's site, linked above, and leave a link to your post so we can visit you.  What better way to start the week than with a smile!

Theo and Cleo are up for adoption together.  Theo is going to be a big boy, he's been almost twice the size of his sister Cleo since he was born.  They are both love bugs.

Sparks, the brainchild of Annie of McGuffy's Reader, is on hiatus, so here's an Inspiring Quote of the Week in her honor.

I Corinthians 13:7-8

Poetry Monday was started by Diane at On The Alberta/Montana Border.  Jenny at Procrastinating Donkey is on a blog semi-break and her poetry is sorely missed, we hope she comes back soon.   Charlotte/Mother Owl participates, and now Karen at Baking in a Tornado is jumping in at least once a month, too.  Anyone else is welcome to join in the fun, just let Diane know!

This week the theme is Valentine's Day.

What can i say

About Valentine's Day

That hasn't already been said?

Should i come home and bake

A Valentine's cake

Covered with frosting of red?

Or would it be smart

To make treacle tart

As a sign of affection and love?

Buy a heart box

With plenty of chocs,

Perhaps from the company Dove?

To show she's the best,

He's above all the rest,

Can that really be done in one day?

Should we try all the year

To prove they are dear

In each thing we do and we say?

We don't need the pressure

Our loving to measure

By Valentine gifts that we give.

Instead take the time

To make each day sublime

To show love in how daily we live.

  11. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, MIMI!

Those kitties are cute. I hope they get placed soon.

Great poem! I agree one's love can't be measure in one day, it should be expressed everyday in the things we say or do, but I am a firm believer that we should observe V-Day. The gestures need not be extravagant but from the heart. :)
