Tribute, a Ten Things of Thankful Post

The most important event of this week happened on Monday.  It was Ms. S's funeral.

There's no way i can do her justice, but i have to make my Thankful Day about her.

She had a beautiful smile and a great sense of humor.

She was one of the most creative people i've ever known -- painting, sculpting, macrame, sewing, embroidery, and she ran a dance studio.

She fought the demon of alcoholism and won.

She never stopped loving the daughter who wouldn't talk to her, even sending her birthday gifts and Christmas gifts to the end, though they were never acknowledged.

She never stopped loving her son, even though they were polar opposites and made each other crazy, and he never stopped loving her.

She bred show Persians, and almost always had a cat, dog, bird, fish, or all of the above.

She taught a Sunday school class for special needs children, and had a very tender heart for them.

Her prayers at our prayer group were beautiful and she always remembered to pray for the stray animals.

When her Episcopal priest would call her and ask if she wanted a home visit, she always insisted he bring her communion.  Her love for her Savior was deep.

She was a loyal friend.

All these things make me thankful she was a part of my life, and i'm going to miss her like crazy.

A bonus thankful, her funeral was a beautiful tribute.
