Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.
Like much of the country, we had some wet weather roll through and it brought cold temperatures with it. The rain was mostly at night, which i appreciate. We're used to driving in rain but that doesn't mean we like it.
Boudreaux be done talkin' to Thibodeaux an' he say, "I jes done read dat it be de law when you be driving you gots to turn you headlights on if it be rainin' in Sweden."
An' Thibodeaux done ax, "What be wrong wit' dat?"
An' Boudreaux say, "Mais! How I be suppose ta know when it be rainin' in Sweden?"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files. The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please. It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child. (Please note that EC is on a blog break due to her health, and we all hope she comes back soon.)
Art in a little boy's room.
A few flowers.
St. Patrick's Day is coming.
This door hanger is very clever... |
...it's made to look like a large beer bottle cap! |

I love the Cajun jokes.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that little boy will grow up to be a zookeeper or wildlife gamekeeper?
Wonderful photos. Thank you so much, Mimi.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
I did not get the joke! Oh well. I wonder if the family had been to Africa? Sunsets were the best!!!
ReplyDeleteA great mix!
ReplyDeleteOh, can´t we stay in summer-time forever?
Will tell my Hubby of Chester - I always have to remind him to use them!
A holiday for jewels, how fun! I really do have one, from my Dad.
Uh-oh. I´ll open my original Japanese umbrella.... I need all the luck....
"prohibiting the teaching of evolution" was even a The Simpson´s episode.
Thank you for funny cajun joke - even I don't know when it rains in Sweden (just across the water from here, maybe 10 km.)
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that our DST do not start for 14 more days. I just can't stand dark mornings, and I am discombobulated for weeks after the change. I hope the wise ones in Bruxelles are going to pull their act together soon and abolish it altogether. Wonderful sunsets!
Good joke. I don't like that law either because I am afraid to forget my lights on during the day. Beautiful blooms. XO
ReplyDeletePhotos are so excellent. I needed to see color.
ReplyDeleteThis time change law is beyond stupid. During years when physical labor required extra light, it made sense. The people in California election passed the law to end time change.
I like the joke. Here we have to on the head lights by 7pm. The little boy loves animals. Pretty flowers. Spectacular sunsets.
ReplyDeleteOkay, that joke is hilarious! Those sunset pictures are lovely!
