Strike (Cajun Joke) and Sunday Selections

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

Grandma is most certainly getting better.  The PT guy thinks that in another week or so she will be able to walk by herself using only the walker, so that she can move back into her own bedroom.  

In anticipation of that, Grandpa took my suggestion for how to lower her bed so she will be able to get in it.  He snagged my Sweetie when we were there cleaning yesterday and they managed to remove the box support, put a wooden board on the slats, and put the mattress directly on that.

Then they took the box out to the garage/workshop.  That's when the fun began.  First, they were gone a while.  Then, Grandpa came in for heavy twine and scissors.  After a bit, i even heard hammering.

No, i didn't ask, i get the feeling i don't want to know what they were doing out there.

Boudreaux an' Clothile need dem a couple t'ings fix aroun' de house, an' Boudreaux decide to saves him de money an' not hire Pierre, de local handyman, he be goin' do it hisse'f.

Clothile not be so happy, but Boudreaux done insis', an' he decide firs' he be goin' fix de loose piece o' de sidin' o' de house.  He get him de hammer an' de nails, an' he go out an' Clothile decide she goin' watch.

Boudreaux start in on hammerin', an' Clothile say, "Boudreaux, you hammer like lightnin'!"

An' Boudreaux say, "What dat mean?"

An' Clothile say, "Mais,  you don' never strike de same place twice!"
