She had just sat down with the family for breakfast when daughter asked, "What's an eruption?"

"I know, I know!" son said, "I saw it on TV!"

"Go ahead, son, tell her," she smiled her encouragement.

"Well, it's that thing where the medicine commercial says if it lasts more than four hours, you need to see your doctor," innocence said, then looked quite confused when dad started laughing so hard he almost fell out of his chair.

While order was being restored, she told daughter, "It's okay, sweetheart, we'll talk about volcanos later.  As for you, young sir, I think you've been watching way too much television!"

Brian of Brian's Home hosts the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.   It's time to share something for which i am thankful.  

Today we are thankful for the bit of rain we had yesterday.  There was no rain, then i heard a crash and it was raining in the front yard, but not the back, which has happened before.  Eventually it was raining all around us, and the whole storm lasted about ten minutes.  We could see blue skies to the east and west, so we knew it was going to be short and we sure needed it.
