Linking up with Wordless Wednesday, Sandee at Comedy Plus, and BeThere2Day.
***********************************
Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and has become a moveable feast of word or picture or music prompts to encourage us to write stories, poems, or whatever strikes our fancy.
This month, the prompts are being provided by David M. Gasciogne and posted by Elephant's Child.
This week's prompts are:
- Laboratory
- Devoted
- Ridiculous
- Happy
- Tenderly
- Sick
And/or
- Encouragement
- Diseases
- Formidable
- Unruly
- Vaccine
- Cricket
Have fun.
(Note: okay, i will!)
Life is not a LABORATORY where you are experimenting to see what methods of living work best. There's a Good Book which is already DEVOTED to telling you, and its best instructions are love the Lord and love your neighbor as yourself.
It's okay to be funny, it's okay to be silly, but don't be RIDICULOUS.
If you want to be HAPPY and make others so, treat your own spirit and that of others TENDERLY.
When you are SICK, either go to the doctor or quit whinging!
Any time it is possible, be an ENCOURAGEMENT.
DISEASES are often caused by dis-ease.
LOVE, in its truest form, is wanting what is best for the other more than what is best for the self, and it is the most FORMIDABLE force in the universe.
UNRULY children are unhappy children, they need boundaries even though they seem not to want them.
The medical community doesn't have a VACCINE against stupidity but sometimes it can be sedated.
Listen to your inner Jiminy CRICKET, your conscience is usually right.
(There, i had fun!)

Love and agree with what you wrote with the prompts. Have a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you had fun with David's prompts. I enjoyed reading your take.
ReplyDeleteThe cat sat on the ... box.
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
A box is a box no matter how small it is. Flynn used to try and get in the tissue box but could only get his front legs and shoulders in. He never gave up trying though.
ReplyDeleteGood one with the box! Mom has learned over time to follow her gut because it is always right. When she doesn't, she always regrets it.
ReplyDeleteYes a box is a box no matter the size. You made me laugh out loud.
ReplyDeleteLove your use of the prompts. Very well done as always.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Big hug, my friend. ♥
Who knew that Handel finished the Messiah in 24 days?!
ReplyDeleteCute photo. :-)
ReplyDeleteHugging a crabby stranger could go wrong in soooo many ways. I think I'll eat a hoagie and cream filled donut instead. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteAnd I had fun reading your Words for Wednesday! Your photo of a box that only could fit in two cats paws made me giggle! Thanks and have a sweet day!
ReplyDeleteLove the cat in the box! That was a most excellent story!
ReplyDeleteCute kitty. Great story, so true. XO
ReplyDeleteMimi's ten commandments. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYup, any old box will do. Your Words for Wednesday were right on point!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to use the words!
ReplyDeleteYou used all the prompts in a good way. Jiminy Cricket ... I did not know his name in English, as films for small children are dubbed in Danish (not so teen and adult ones which are texted), but he's one of my childhood friends... yeah if more people listened to him, the world would be a better place :D
ReplyDeleteIt was Pavlov's birthday today?
ReplyDeleteI learnt how to talk about small puppies in Polish especially in the affectionate way.
March/April 1997 I had learnt about the word for dog in such expressions as dog's blood.
Adelaide Dupont

All good advices. That one about the dis-ease sounded right. Some people cause other people to be unhappy when they really didn't have to. Nice use of the WFW prompts.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
The 10 Rules for Living! I think we should put them on a poster!
