Mixed-Up Messages and Sour Grapes, a Random and Happy Tuesday Post

 ***********************************

It's time once again for a random and happy Tuesday, linking up with Stacy's Random Thoughts at Stacy Uncorked and Sandee at Comedy Plus

No matter how well you think you know Carl, he can always throw in a curve or two.

There are the usual things, like dirty clothes on hangers, or clean pairs of socks in the washing machine.  You know they are clean because they are still folded together just the way you put them in the drawer.

Two items in the washer that might or might not be dirty (got washed anyway).

Folded and smelling fresh as a daisy.

There are the crazy places you find his stuff, like the search yesterday for one of his pair of pajama bottoms.

Is that something in the chair under his eye shades?

What in the world?

Stuffed behind the cushion?

Then there's grapes sealed in a bag in the fridge to go sour and nasty and bread left out of the bag in the fridge to get hard.

This past weekend, he sent me two emails.

The first was not unexpected.  He leaves receipts, and papers, and bits of napkins or paper bags all over, and some of them have writing on them, his notes to himself (that he cannot read and neither can anyone else, as he can only write legibly when he is "drawing" the letters as opposed to writing them, he draws excellently and can't write worth a flip, his handwriting is worse than his mothers).

He doesn't want to lose any of these precious bits, so i am careful to preserve them.  Every receipt is kept, "In case I have to take something back to the store, of course!" and every note kept on the off chance that he might be able to decipher it and be reminded of something he wanted to remember.

He has run out of places to put most of this stuff, but recently got two small file type containers that have flat bottoms.  Now receipts go in one and notes in the other.

He doesn't call or text me, as most of the time he has no idea where his phone went, or how, or why.  He has access to the family iPad and his parents make him keep it in a certain room, tracking it down immediately if he seems to be wandering away with it, so he emails me.

His emails have no text, he just writes everything in the subject line.

His first email, on Friday, read:

What ya do with the papers ( receipts ) with numbers on them? Write n.

Emailing back, i reminded him about the new files.

On Saturday, he sent the following:

So I started getting sick Sunday night?

This was quite confusing, as it could mean he had gotten sick last Sunday night, or he was ill now and was possibly still going to be ill Sunday and perhaps even Monday.  This might or might not mean a plan to stay home from work.

With him, it could mean anything.

When i arrived yesterday morning, he was still sleeping, so i figured he was ill and staying home.  Turned out he was just oversleeping, and we had a time getting him out to work on time.

He had been sick a few days before, and went to one of those Urgent Care Centers we have sprinkled all over now, getting a note for work and some strong cough syrup.  He was simply informing me that he'd been sick, i guess because he had to share.

In honor of his cough, let's have some funnies, shall we?

Have a blessed and beautiful Tuesday, everyone!
