Let's Hope So (Wordless Wednesday) and Words for Wednesday

Words for Wednesday was begun by Delores and has become a moveable feast of word or picture or music prompts to encourage us to write stories, poems, or whatever strikes our fancy.

It hadn't been the easiest day.

Of course, there'd been WORSE days, and this one could have turned out to be even more trouble than actually happened.  Still, as her son pointed out once, "Mom, a first world problem is still a problem for the person it happens to, your complaint is still VALID and your PAIN no less just because it happens in a nicer neighborhood."

The gray drizzle all day long, with intermittent actual showers every time she needed to get out of the car, had gotten to her along with the traffic, always made worse by the weather.  She'd needed extra patience with some of her clients as all of them had extra work that day.  She was, as she'd say, "worn to a frazzle and my frazzle's wore out!"

On the way home, the sun was finally breaking through the cloud cover and she spied it right as she came around the curve in the highway.  Doing a double take, she signaled for a left turn and pulled into the turn lane, accepting as a stopping place the first parking lot that came handy.  She wasn't going to miss this little bit of glory.

The WONDERFUL double rainbow stayed clear and bright as she rolled her window down and snapped photo after photo.  The air smelled clean and rain-washed, the temperature was cool enough that she turned off the air conditioner and left the window down when she reluctantly put her phone camera down and continued the journey home.

Tomorrow will be better, she thought.  Be RESILIENT, count your blessings, remember you at least have work.  Tomorrow will be better.

     Inocentes -- Mexico, and sometimes celebrated as Mexican December Fool's Day (Herod fooled himself into thinking he had gotten rid of his rival king born in Bethlehem.)

Dyzemas Day -- Northhamptonshire, UK (an unlucky day to begin any new undertaking, "what is begun on Dyzemas Day will never be finished")
