Zillions, Ship Shape (Cajun Joke), and Sunday Selections, an A to Z Post

Just because Sandee of Comedy Plus is no longer hosting a Silly Sunday blog hop, do not expect me to quit telling Cajun jokes, especially as it has now become a habit.

My final A to Z Post always has Zillions as part of the title because it is Little Girl's Birthday and we love her zillions.

She's looking for summer work in addition to her military duties, and has only the fall semester left in nursing school.

While there are a few things she's unsure of, such as whether she wants to go into psychiatric nursing or NICU, or whether to stay in the military after school, she knows she's chosen a good career path for her and she's never one to let the grass grow under her feet.

Happy Birthday, Little Girl!

Boudreaux an' Clothile done be talkin' 'bout Aline, dey daughter, an' how she be workin' hard an' de firs' in de fam'ly to get to college.

"Dat girl's ship goin' come in one day!" Clothile say.

Boudreaux done shook hims head.  "I be so proud o' her.  Mais, when my ship come in, I'm pro'ly gonna be at de airport!"

Sunday Selections was started as a way for bloggers to use photos that might otherwise just languish in their files.  The rules have been relaxed, and it is now simply a showcase for your photos, new or old, good or bad, although nothing rude, please.  It was hosted by River, who still participates, and is now hosted by Elephant's Child.

These geese were very loud in warning us to stay away from them last week when Becca and i were walking Mr. Cal.  I managed to catch a few photos of flowers on the way, too.

Mr. BA likes to let his lawn grow a bit wild, and since Ms. GA started feeding the birds, there are sunflowers taking root.  He is also working on the fountain with a friend who does it for a living.

Skyscapes.

  11. You cover all the bases! Oh my goodness, so much to enjoy. Happy Birthday a bit late to Little Girl! Love the Cajuns and what a sweet pup. A new marriage? Ah....sweetness. I was asking for prayers at my PhamilyBlog but I saw something here about Bladder Cancer Awareness Month. My husbands BFF has a younger sister who survived it once and now it came back with a vengeance. Please pray for Audrey.

  12. Lots of wonderful shares. I love hearing about your loved ones. Love those Cajun's and lots of fun here. Sweet pup too. Our son Jeremy has Stella and he was told, as she is a rescue, found in the road years ago, that she is part Blue Heeler. Wonderful sweet dogs but as any pup, they can be busy! Prayers for good times when the lovebirds go honeymooning. Enjoy the new week.
